Now Hiring: Director of Project Accounting

Are you a strategic accounting leader with deep expertise in project and construction accounting? We are seeking a Director of Project Accounting to lead financial operations across a portfolio of complex projects while partnering with Operations, Project Management, and Executive Leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of Project Accountants and billing professionals
• Oversee job costing, WIP reporting, forecasting, and project financial performance
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
• Manage progress billings, retainage tracking, and project invoicing
• Analyze project margins, cost variances, and financial risks
• Drive process improvements and ERP optimization initiatives
• Strengthen internal controls, audit readiness, and financial compliance
• Partner with operational leaders to improve profitability and financial transparency

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 10+ years of accounting experience with a strong focus on project or construction accounting
• 5+ years of leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, job costing, and WIP reporting
• Experience with ERP systems; COINS experience preferred
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
• Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments
