Pay: Up to $38/hour DOE

Per Diem: $125 per day worked for qualified travelers

Schedule: Approximately 45 hours per week

Project Duration: 3–4 months

Start Date: Immediate

The Opportunity

KODIAK is seeking experienced Journey-Level Plumbers for a 3–4 month hospital construction project in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

We are looking for skilled commercial plumbers who can step onto an active construction site and perform high-quality plumbing installations with minimal supervision. Candidates should have strong experience with commercial plumbing systems, be comfortable reading construction drawings, and understand the safety and quality standards required on large-scale healthcare projects.

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, and maintain commercial plumbing systems.
  • Install domestic water, sanitary waste, vent, storm, and related piping systems.
  • Perform layout, rough-in, installation, and final connections according to project drawings and specifications.
  • Install plumbing fixtures, drains, valves, supports, and related components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, isometric drawings, and construction layouts.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install piping using appropriate materials and joining methods.
  • Perform pressure testing, leak testing, and other system verification as required.
  • Coordinate work with project supervision and other trades to maintain construction schedules.
  • Identify installation issues and communicate field conditions to supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all site-specific safety requirements, plumbing codes, and project quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Journey-Level plumbing experience required.
  • Strong commercial plumbing background.
  • Experience working on large commercial construction projects.
  • Ability to read and work from blueprints, specifications, and isometric drawings.
  • Knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, materials, fittings, valves, and installation methods.
  • Ability to perform layout and installation work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of applicable plumbing codes and jobsite safety requirements.
  • Reliable transportation and required hand tools.
  • Ability to work approximately 45 hours per week and meet the project's immediate start requirements.

Preferred Experience

  • Hospital or healthcare construction.
  • Large commercial or institutional facilities.
  • Mission-critical, manufacturing, or other complex construction environments.
  • Experience installing domestic water, sanitary, vent, storm, and mechanical plumbing systems.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
