The Opportunity

KODIAK is seeking experienced Underground Plumbers for a long-term data center construction project in Turkey, Texas.

This position focuses on the installation of underground plumbing and utility systems on a large-scale, mission-critical construction site. We are looking for plumbers who are experienced with trench work, underground piping, elevations and grade, and reading construction drawings.

Candidates should be able to work safely and efficiently alongside foremen, equipment operators, and other trades while maintaining the quality standards required on major data center projects.

Responsibilities

  • Install underground sanitary, storm, domestic water, and utility piping systems.
  • Lay out underground plumbing systems according to project drawings and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, plumbing drawings, elevations, and project layouts.
  • Establish and maintain proper grade, slope, elevation, and alignment for underground piping.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install piping using approved materials and joining methods.
  • Install underground drains, cleanouts, sleeves, fittings, valves, and related components.
  • Assist with trench preparation, bedding, pipe placement, and backfill operations.
  • Work safely around trenches, excavations, heavy equipment, and active construction operations.
  • Coordinate closely with equipment operators, foremen, and other trades.
  • Perform inspections, testing, and verification of installed systems as required.
  • Identify field conflicts or installation issues and communicate them to project supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all project safety requirements, plumbing codes, and quality-control standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience performing underground commercial or industrial plumbing work.
  • Strong knowledge of underground sanitary, storm, domestic water, and utility piping systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, elevations, and plumbing drawings.
  • Experience establishing grades, slopes, and elevations for underground piping.
  • Knowledge of underground piping materials, fittings, and joining methods.
  • Comfortable working in and around trenches and excavation areas.
  • Ability to perform layout and installation work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong commitment to jobsite safety and quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work approximately 58 hours per week.
  • Reliable transportation and required hand tools.

Preferred Experience

  • Data center or mission-critical construction.
  • Large commercial or industrial projects.
  • Underground utility installation.
  • Large-diameter sanitary or storm piping.
  • HDPE, PVC, CPVC, cast iron, or other underground piping systems.
  • Trenching and excavation operations.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
