Kodiak Labor Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman for a long-term industrial construction project in Orangeburg, South Carolina. This is an opportunity for a hands-on electrical leader who wants to lead from the field, work alongside the crew, and potentially transition into a permanent position with the client.

This is not a clipboard-only foreman role. The right candidate will be comfortable managing people, safety, daily documentation, materials, and schedule while still performing electrical work when needed.

Role Overview

The Electrical Foreman will provide day-to-day field leadership for electrical installation activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and project requirements.

The Foreman will coordinate electrical crews, plan daily work, track progress and materials, maintain required field documentation, and work closely with project leadership to keep the job moving.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise electrical crews performing industrial electrical construction and installation.
• Plan and coordinate daily work activities based on project priorities, drawings, specifications, and schedule.
• Work alongside the crew performing electrical installation and field work as required.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical diagrams.
• Conduct daily pre-task planning and communicate work assignments and expectations to the crew.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, safety documentation, progress reports, and other required field paperwork.
• Enforce site safety requirements, electrical safe-work practices, and proper PPE use.
• Monitor productivity, workmanship, and quality to ensure installations meet project standards.
• Track materials and equipment and communicate replenishment needs before they impact production.
• Identify field conflicts, installation issues, or schedule concerns and work with project leadership to resolve them.
• Conduct field inspections and verify completed work against drawings and project specifications.
• Coordinate effectively with project managers, superintendents, other trades, contractors, and client representatives.
• Assist with manpower planning, scheduling, and maintaining project milestones.
• Mentor electricians and apprentices while promoting accountability and a strong safety culture.

• Identify and resolve field issues before they negatively affect safety, productivity, or schedule.
• Lead from the front while remaining willing and able to perform electrical field work alongside the crew.

Who You Are

You are an experienced industrial electrician who has progressed into field leadership without losing your hands-on capabilities. You understand that being a strong foreman means more than assigning work, you know how to plan the day, communicate expectations, maintain documentation, enforce safety, solve field problems, and help your crew execute.

You are comfortable taking ownership of your area of the project and can operate with limited day-to-day supervision.

A Day in the Life

• Review the day's work plan, manpower, drawings, materials, and safety considerations.
• Lead pre-task planning and assign work to electricians and apprentices.
• Work in the field while monitoring safety, quality, productivity, and schedule.
• Coordinate material requirements and resolve installation or field conflicts.
• Complete daily logs, progress documentation, safety paperwork, and communicate status to project leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of electrical construction experience, with significant industrial or commercial electrical experience.
• Previous experience as an Electrical Foreman, Lead Electrician, or comparable field leadership role.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes, regulations, and construction safety requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead electrical crews and maintain productivity in an active construction environment.
• Experience maintaining daily logs, safety documentation, manpower information, and project-related field reporting.
• Strong planning, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to track materials and coordinate material needs with project leadership.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to wear and properly utilize all required PPE.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to work safely on ladders, scaffolding, elevated work areas, and around uneven or congested construction environments.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more when required.
• Comfortable working at heights and in varying environmental conditions.
• Ability to participate in respiratory fit testing and utilize respiratory protection when required.
