NCCER Structural & Rebar Iron Worker — LNG Facility

Position Summary

Kodiak Labor Solutions is hiring experienced NCCER Structural & Rebar Iron Workers for work at an LNG facility. This position is responsible for erecting structural steel, installing reinforcing steel/rebar, placing embeds and supports, and working safely in a highly controlled industrial facility environment.

Qualified candidates must have strong structural ironworking and rebar installation experience, understand jobsite safety expectations, and be able to work from drawings, layout, and direction from field supervision.

Compensation

Pay Rate:

  • $32.00/hour — NCCER Certified Structural & Rebar Iron Worker
  • $34.00/hour — NCCER Plus Structural & Rebar Iron Worker

Per Diem:

  • $100.00 per diem for days worked

Overtime, travel details, schedule, and additional project-specific compensation may vary by assignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Erect, connect, bolt, and align structural steel components.
  • Install reinforcing steel, rebar mats, cages, dowels, embeds, and related supports.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, structural plans, rebar details, and field instructions.
  • Measure, cut, bend, tie, and place rebar according to project specifications.
  • Assist with rigging, hoisting, signaling, and material handling as needed.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, tying tools, cutting tools, and jobsite equipment safely.
  • Perform layout support, anchor bolt placement, embeds, and field adjustments.
  • Work from ladders, lifts, scaffolds, elevated platforms, and structural steel when required.
  • Follow all LNG facility, client, company, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in an active industrial environment.
  • Communicate clearly with foremen, supervisors, equipment operators, safety personnel, and other trades.
  • Support schedule-driven work while maintaining quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Current NCCER certification in structural ironworking, reinforcing ironwork, or related craft.
  • NCCER Plus preferred for higher pay rate.
  • Proven experience with structural steel erection and/or rebar installation.
  • Ability to read drawings, follow layout, and understand field measurements.
  • Knowledge of bolting, connecting, reinforcing steel placement, tying methods, and safe material handling.
  • Ability to meet LNG facility access and safety requirements.
  • Ability to pass required jobsite screening, which may include drug screen, background check, safety orientation, and skills verification.
  • Reliable transportation to assigned jobsite or mobilization point.
  • Strong attendance, communication, and teamwork.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb, reach, stand, and work for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor industrial construction environments.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding jobsite conditions.
  • Must be able to use required personal protective equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.
  • Prior LNG, refinery, petrochemical, power, energy, or heavy industrial project experience.
  • Aerial lift, forklift, rigging, or signaling experience.
  • Experience with bolt-up, structural steel, embeds, decking, rebar mats, and concrete reinforcement.
  • Ability to travel for project assignments when required.

Work Environment

This role is performed at an active LNG facility and construction jobsite. Work may include exposure to heights, heavy equipment, moving materials, weather conditions, noise, dust, controlled-access areas, and other standard industrial construction hazards. Safety awareness, compliance, and adherence to site procedures are required at all times.
