Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and driven Travel Pipe Superintendent to lead welding and piping field operations on diverse commercial and industrial construction projects across multiple locations. This role is ideal for a hands-on field leader with extensive experience in weld piping and fabrication who is committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence. The Travel Pipe Superintendent will oversee daily field operations, coordinate project execution, manage field personnel, and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with industry standards. Extensive travel to project sites is required, with team sizes varying based on project complexity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct pipe fabrication and welding projects to ensure timely and precise completion.
  • Manage and coordinate on-site teams, adapting crew sizes to meet project requirements.
  • Align subcontractor activities with project goals, schedules, and quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to create, monitor, and maintain project schedules.
  • Attend mandatory site meetings and assist in project planning and execution.
  • Enforce strict safety protocols and conduct weekly safety toolbox talks.
  • Maintain MSDS documentation and ensure compliance with HazCom regulations.
  • Facilitate clear communication between field personnel, Project Managers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Manage hiring recommendations, performance reviews, promotions, transfers, and vacation schedules for field personnel.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Field Pipe Superintendent in the construction industry.
  • At least 10 years of experience in weld piping and fabrication.
  • In-depth knowledge of welding and piping processes, fabrication techniques, and industry standards.
  • Strong understanding of jobsite management, construction safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively to project sites.
