Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join a growing service team in Columbia, SC. This position is ideal for a skilled technician with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities who can work independently across commercial and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform commercial and industrial HVAC service, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Diagnose and repair equipment including:
  • Packaged rooftop units (RTUs)
  • Split systems
  • Commercial chillers
  • Chilled water systems
  • Associated mechanical and electrical components
• Utilize electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools to identify system problems
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and equipment repairs
• Complete accurate electronic service documentation using a mobile device
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and internal teams
• Work independently while maintaining company safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of commercial HVAC service experience
• EPA Universal Certification required
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with chilled water and/or boiler systems preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a background screening, drug screening, and MVR review

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders
• Comfortable working on rooftops, in mechanical rooms, and in varying weather conditions
