Mechanical Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to lead fabrication and shop operations within our Indianapolis facility. This role is responsible for overseeing mechanical and pipe fabrication activities, managing skilled trades personnel, driving safety and quality initiatives, and ensuring production schedules are met. 

The ideal candidate has a strong background in mechanical construction, industrial fabrication, piping systems, welding operations, and shop leadership. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead daily mechanical fabrication, pipe fabrication, and structural shop operations.  
• Supervise welders, pipefitters, fabricators, foremen, and skilled trades personnel.  
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and production schedules.  
• Review fabrication drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.  
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.  
• Monitor productivity and implement continuous improvement initiatives.  
• Partner with Project Managers, Engineering, and Operations teams to support project execution.  
• Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and ensure OSHA compliance.  

Qualifications 

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction, industrial construction, fabrication, or manufacturing environments.  
• 3+ years in a leadership role such as Superintendent, General Foreman, Shop Manager, or Production Manager.  
• Strong knowledge of pipe fabrication, welding, structural steel, and industrial mechanical systems.  
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and construction documents.  
• Proven experience managing production schedules and skilled trades teams.  
• OSHA 30 preferred.
