Strategic Account Manager | Gaithersburg, MD

Know commercial HVAC inside and out—and enjoy turning customer needs into long-term solutions? Our client is looking for a relationship-focused Strategic Account Manager to grow key accounts across Maryland.

With more than 50 years in the MEP industry, our client helps commercial customers maintain, repair, retrofit, and upgrade their facilities. In this role, you’ll be their trusted advisor: learning their goals, spotting opportunities, and connecting them with the right mechanical solutions.

What you’ll do

• Build strong relationships with facility managers, operations leaders, and executives
• Grow and retain strategic accounts through proactive service and communication
• Identify opportunities for maintenance, repairs, retrofits, and new installations
• Assess customer needs and develop tailored HVAC solutions and estimates
• Partner with service, operations, and project teams to deliver on customer commitments
• Track account growth, renewals, and customer satisfaction

What you bring

• Commercial HVAC sales or account management experience
• A track record of growing revenue and retaining customers
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hydronic systems
• Experience estimating HVAC maintenance, retrofit, or installation work
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• A degree is preferred; equivalent field experience is welcome

Industry certifications such as CEM, PE, or LEED are a plus.
