Senior Building Inspector - Industrial & Semiconductor FacilitiesAustin, TX AreaOpenings: 4We are seeking an experienced Building Inspection Consultant to support large-scale construction projects, including the main and supporting 3 facilities. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in building inspection and a proven ability to interpret and apply building codes accurately. This role partners closely with city inspectors and construction teams to ensure smooth, compliant inspection processes.Key Responsibilities:Provide expert guidance on building inspection procedures and standards.Interpret and enforce building codes and regulations to ensure full compliance.Collaborate with city inspectors, project managers, and contractors to meet inspection requirements.Identify potential compliance issues and recommend effective solutions.Maintain consistent, professional communication with all stakeholders throughout inspection phases.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or associate degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 15 years of experience in building inspection and industrial or semiconductor facility construction.ICC Building Inspection Certification (B-2) or equivalent degree required.Strong understanding of building codes, specifications, and regulatory requirements.Skilled in coordinating with city officials and construction personnel.Detail-oriented with expertise in Life Safety Systems (LSS), passive fire protection, and occupancy classifications (H-5).Preferred:Additional certifications or licenses in building inspection or code interpretation.Prior experience in construction management consulting.Experience as a city building inspector in Austin or the Austin metro area.
