️ Position Summary:

We’re seeking a skilled Lead HVAC Installation Technician to take charge of commercial and industrial installation projects throughout the Grand Rapids area. In this role, you’ll manage retrofit and new system installs, coordinate site activity, and ensure quality and efficiency from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and retrofit HVAC systems: RTUs, split systems, boilers, chillers, WSHPs, cooling towers, make-up air units, and more

• Lead and complete installation projects with minimal supervision

• Coordinate work in occupied commercial/industrial spaces with minimal disruption

• Communicate clearly with customers, team members, and management

• Perform basic system startups and quality assurance checks

• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues proactively

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of HVAC installation experience, with a strong retrofit background

• Proficient in pipefitting and sheet metal work

• Ability to manage entire installation projects from layout to closeout

• Excellent problem-solving, organization, and communication skills

• Customer-focused and detail-oriented

• HVAC service or startup experience

• Prior leadership of install teams or independent projects
