We Are Recruiting for a Virtual Designer (VD2) – Electrical Construction | Austin / Leander, TX

We are recruiting for an experienced Virtual Designer (VD2) to join a growing electrical construction team in the Austin / Leander area.

This is a hybrid opportunity – 3 days in the office and 2 days remote each week – supporting complex commercial and large-scale electrical construction projects.

What You'll Do:

• Build detailed 3D electrical models using Revit and Navisworks
• Produce electrical shop drawings for construction and installation
• Perform BIM coordination, clash detection, and resolution
• Coordinate with General Contractors, field teams, and MEP trade partners
• Support BIM coordination through final model sign-off
• Produce bills of materials for procurement and labor tracking
• Mentor and support junior Detailers

What We're Looking For:

• 2–5+ years of CAD/BIM experience in commercial construction
• Strong proficiency with Autodesk Revit
• Experience with Navisworks
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
• Electrical construction experience is highly preferred
• NEC knowledge or electrical field experience is a plus
