Job Overview

Kodiak Labor Solutions is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to lead special projects on a large-scale commercial data center project in the Richmond, Virginia area. This role oversees crew performance, installation quality, and schedule coordination on a high-visibility 6+ month build.

What You'll Do

As Sheet Metal Foreman, you'll lead a crew responsible for fabricating, installing, and hanging ductwork systems throughout the data center project, while owning schedule, quality, and safety outcomes for your team.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and direct a crew fabricating, installing, and hanging sheet metal ductwork according to project drawings and specifications
• Read, interpret, and assign work from mechanical drawings, blueprints, layouts, and installation documentation
• Oversee measuring, fitting, and assembly of ductwork and related sheet metal components
• Coordinate with project management and other trades to maintain installation schedules and project timelines
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in accordance with jobsite and safety standards
• Enforce site-specific safety procedures and requirements across the crew
• Communicate installation progress, delays, and issues to project management

You need:

• Proven experience leading a sheet metal crew on commercial or industrial construction projects
• Journeyman-level sheet metal experience or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and layouts
• Standard hand tools required for the trade
• Reliable transportation to the assigned job site
• Ability to manage crew productivity, quality, and safety on an active jobsite

Preferred Experience:

• Data center or other large-scale commercial construction experience
• Commercial HVAC ductwork installation
• Layout and field fabrication experience
• Coil line or plasma table experience
