Position Summary
Warehouse & Sheet Metal Operations SupervisorThe ideal candidate is a strong operational leader with experience managing teams in a fast-paced . This individual will drive productivity, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain a culture focused on safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations and sheet metal fabrication activities.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives including Lean principles such as 5S, Kaizen, and standardized work.
- Resource & Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory processes including raw sheet metal materials (steel, aluminum, galvanized), receiving, storage, and tracking.
- Safety & Compliance
- Promote safe operation of fabrication equipment and proper handling of sheet metal materials.
- Maintain a strong culture of safety awareness in both warehouse and fabrication areas.
Ensure employees are properly trained in sheet metal fabrication techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
- Address performance issues while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Required Qualifications
- sheet metal fabrication, manufacturing, or mechanical construction operationsStrong understanding of sheet metal processes including cutting, forming, assembly, and installation readiness.
- Working knowledge of Lean principles including 5S and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience managing manpower allocation and production productivity.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and shop safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with SMACNA standards and sheet metal specifications.
- Experience using ERP, MRP, or inventory/WMS systems.
- Exposure to CNC programming or automated fabrication equipment is a plus.
