Mechanical Process Piping Detailer / Designer

A well-established and growing mechanical contractor is seeking a skilled Mechanical Process Piping Detailer / Designer to support complex commercial projects. What You’ll Do

  • Develop and coordinate detailed drawings for mechanical piping and plumbing systems on large-scale commercial projects
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure alignment with project plans, specifications, and fabrication standards
  • Identify and communicate design conflicts, discrepancies, and required modifications
  • Produce accurate, fully coordinated drawings with clear dimensions and constructability in mind
  • Prepare and submit marked-up documents reflecting field and design changes
  • Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical input as needed
  • Conduct site visits to verify conditions and support project execution
  • Proactively flag scope gaps or design issues not reflected in contract documents

What You Bring

  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems and applicable plumbing codes
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing accuracy
  • Professional communication skills with both internal teams and external partners
  • Composure under pressure with a strong sense of urgency
  • Field experience as a pipefitter, foreman, or licensed plumber is highly valued
