Generator Preventative Maintenance Technician (Traveling Service Tech)
Indianapolis, IN (Field-Based – Multi-State Travel)
$20–$25/hr + Per Diem

We’re hiring a Generator Preventative Maintenance Technician to perform routine service and inspections on essential power equipment. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and a role that keeps you moving, this position delivers.
What You’ll Be Trusted With
• Perform routine maintenance on generators (oil & filter changes, fluid checks, lubrication)
• Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, and mechanical issues
• Accurately document all service work performed
• Travel to job sites across Indiana, Kentucky, and Michigan
• Operate company vehicles safely and professionally
• Follow all company safety standards and procedures
• Maintain clean and organized tools, equipment, and work areas
• Communicate job status and findings with supervisors and team members
• Assist with additional maintenance and support tasks as needed
What Sets You Apart
• 6+ months of hands-on maintenance experience (oil changes, fluid checks, etc.)
• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of preventative maintenance
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to identify basic mechanical issues and escalate when needed
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

• Ability to pass drug screen and background check
