HVAC Pipe Installer – Commercial Construction

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Pipe Installer / Pipefitter to support commercial construction projects throughout the Grand Rapids area.

This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience installing hydronic piping, refrigerant lines, gas piping, and condensate systems who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and working safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC piping systems, including:
  • Hydronic piping
  • Refrigerant piping
  • Gas piping
  • Condensate drains
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and piping layouts
• Measure, cut, thread, groove, press, solder, and braze piping
• Install fittings, valves, supports, and related components
• Perform pressure testing and inspect systems for leaks
• Troubleshoot and correct piping installation issues
• Coordinate with HVAC technicians, supervisors, and other trades
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Follow company and jobsite safety requirements

Qualifications

• 2+ years of pipefitting or commercial HVAC installation experience
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC and mechanical systems
• Experience with threading, grooving, pressing, soldering, and brazing
• Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Reliable transportation
• Commitment to jobsite safety

Welding experience is a plus.

Work Environment
