Pay & Project Details

  • $32.00 per hour
  • $115/day per diem
  • Per diem paid 7 days per week when all scheduled hours are worked
  • 60 hours per week
  • Approximately 6-month project
  • ASAP start
  • Location: Pecos, TX

Responsibilities / Competencies

  • Build, install, align, brace, and strip concrete forms for foundations, walls, slabs, columns, and other concrete structures.
  • Inspect work areas and take measurements to properly lay out formwork.
  • Read and work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install lumber, plywood, and other formwork materials.
  • Set forms to the proper line, grade, elevation, and dimensions.
  • Assist with concrete placement, pouring, and finishing activities as required.
  • Assist with rebar installation and placement as needed.
  • Determine the appropriate methods, materials, and equipment needed to complete assigned work.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, and other carpentry equipment.
  • Inspect and maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
  • Follow all company, site-specific, and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform housekeeping and work-area cleanup to maintain a safe and organized jobsite.
  • Work safely around active construction operations, equipment, and personnel.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous form carpentry / concrete formwork experience required.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform accurate layout.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of concrete forming methods and construction practices.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools associated with form carpentry.
  • Must be able to work 60 hours per week for the duration of the project.
  • Must follow all jobsite safety requirements and procedures.
  • Must be dependable and able to report to work as scheduled.
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding construction work, including lifting, climbing, bending, and working on your feet for extended periods.
