Director, U.S. Energy Business Development

We Are Recruiting: Director – Renewable Energy Project Development | Houston, TX

We are seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Project Development Director to help build and advance a U.S. utility-scale renewable energy portfolio, with an initial focus on Texas/ERCOT.

This is a senior-level opportunity for a hands-on development professional with experience taking Solar, BESS, and/or hybrid projects from origination through key development milestones toward Ready-to-Build, Financial Close, and NTP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Originate and evaluate utility-scale Solar, BESS & hybrid opportunities
• Build and manage a pipeline of greenfield and acquisition projects
• Lead site control, land acquisition, leases, easements & options
• Manage interconnection strategy, applications & studies with utilities and ISOs/RTOs
• Lead federal, state and local permitting and stakeholder coordination
• Evaluate project economics, development budgets and investment returns
• Support PPA, tolling, hedging & offtake strategies
• Lead development due diligence for project acquisitions and JVs
• Coordinate Engineering, EPC, Finance, Legal and external consultants
• Advance projects toward RTB / Financial Close / NTP

What We're Looking For:

• 10+ years of U.S. renewable energy development experience
• Utility-scale Solar, BESS or Solar + BESS experience
• Demonstrated experience advancing projects through multiple development stages
• Experience with ERCOT, MISO, SPP, PJM and/or CAISO
• Texas/ERCOT development experience strongly preferred
• Experience with acquisitions, JVs and/or development partnerships is a plus
