Position Summary: The Virtual Construction Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and development of all Draftsman, Designers, and Sr. Designers in the Virtual Construction Department.

Essential Functions:

1. Responsible for the direct supervision, performance evaluations, and development / training of all Draftsman, Designers, and Senior Designers.

2. Responsible for scheduling and allocating manpower to all projects requiring layout and coordination and any other Virtual Construction deliverables.

3. Collaborates with Virtual Construction Manager and BIM Supervisor on project scheduling and sequence of coordination for all projects.

4. Direct reporting on schedule progress and productivity metrics to the Virtual Construction Manager.

5. Enforces the layout and coordination of work efficiently and in accordance with plans and specifications, and ColonialWebb standards.

6. Documents and provides marked up drawings to Project Manager showing any modifications, or discrepancies related coordinating the job. This includes, but is not limited to lowering of

ceilings, shifting of walls, relocations of mechanical and plumbing systems.

7. Monitors and notifies the Project Manager accordingly when coordination and design tasks necessitate additional effort beyond what is outlined in the contract drawings.

8. Attends all job meetings as required by the job contract. Advises Virtual Construction Manager when required to attend jobsite meetings.

9. Reviews and makes familiar with all project documents and thoroughly understand scope of work.

10. Provides accurate estimates for completion of assignments to the Virtual Construction Manager.

11. Provides and reviews daily/weekly progress reports of where the job is during coordination.

i.e., Labor Budget data, schedule milestones as required by the Virtual Construction Manager.

12. Generates full coordination drawings and provides all necessary paperwork to complete tasks— i.e., PDFs, plotted drawing and/or CAD/Revit files.

13. Attends meetings—i.e., project turnover and manufacturing meetings for new and existing projects—as requested by Virtual Construction Manager required by job.


Additional Responsibilities:

1. Tracks material of coordinated layouts vs. estimate takeoffs to identify material/labor overages.

2. Works in a collaborative manner with the respective trade to reduce cost of installation through efficient layout and acceptable changes to contract drawings. Project Management has the

authority to direct changes in layout.

3. Creates an efficient layout by eliminating unnecessary ducts, pipes, and fittings during coordination.

4. Notifies the Virtual Construction Manager as conflicts in direction or priority arise.

5. Communicates with the respective Project Manager or Project Engineer as required to accomplish assigned tasks. Documents directives and notifies the Virtual Construction Manager

of any changes affecting the completion of work.

6. Visits job sites as necessary to complete work assignments.

7. Perform other duties as assigned by the Virtual Construction Manager.


Requirements:

1. Ability to lead and oversee individuals performing highly technical work.

2. Schedule and Budget management for all Virtual Construction Cost Codes.

3. Understanding of his/her trade (mechanical pipe, plumbing or sheet metal) relative to commercial and industrial construction

4. High school diploma or equivalent

5. Able to read and understand contract drawings, specs, and submittals.

6. Possess basic computer skills, (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power BI etc.)

7. Proficiency in CAD detailing and design.

8. Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks

9. Experience with 3D Design.

10. Excellent attention to detail

11. Ability to work with minimum supervision.

12. Ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with customers.

13. Possess the ability to work on multiple projects and meet project deadlines.

14. Able to work from a jobsite environment on occasion.


Miscellaneous:

1. Work location: ON-SITE, Richmond, VA.

2. Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as duties demand. Unscheduled overtime may be required, as necessary.

3. Travel: Occasional travel to offsite meetings, regional offices, and jobsites, mostly during the workday (rare overnight travel). Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to safely travel

throughout our region.

4. Remote Work: This position does not allow for full-time remote work, although does have some job duties that can be performed remotely.
