Job Summary

The Assembly Helper supports the assembly team in building, aligning, and testing mechanical and piping systems in accordance with engineering specifications, drawings, and quality standards. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop mechanical skills while contributing to the production of high-quality systems. The Assembly Helper assists with tools, materials, and basic assembly tasks while maintaining safety and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

System Assembly Support

• Assist with assembling and aligning pipe systems, supports, hangers, valves, and components

• Follow work instructions and assist in reading basic assembly drawings

• Support measurement and layout tasks under supervision

Tool Handling

• Safely use hand tools and power tools under guidance

• Assist in maintaining tools and equipment in proper working condition

Reading & Interpreting Assembly Drawings

• Assist in interpreting basic technical drawings and schematics

• Learn measurements, tolerances, and component orientation

Testing & Inspection Support

• Assist with pneumatic and hydrostatic pressure testing

• Help inspect systems for leaks, defects, or malfunctions

• Support troubleshooting and corrective actions as directed

Safety Compliance

• Follow all safety regulations and company SOPs

• Use required PPE and follow lockout/tagout procedures

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area

Documentation Support

• Assist with recording materials used and work performed

• Support completion of QA/QC checklists and documentation

• Ensure documentation is accurate and submitted as required

Required Qualifications

• Good verbal communication skills and ability to follow instructions

• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

• Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools

• Physical stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stretch, and lift up to 50 pounds

• Strong attention to detail and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environments

• Exposure to plumbing, piping, or mechanical systems

• Basic understanding of technical drawings

• Familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
