Commercial HVAC Service Technician
Pay: $35 – $42 per hour

Role Overview
The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and service on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment
- Diagnose equipment failures and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and control system components
- Service and troubleshoot systems including split systems, packaged rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, air handlers, and control systems
- Test components using appropriate diagnostic tools and instruments
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment as needed to complete repairs
- Maintain accurate electronic documentation of service calls using a handheld device
- Operate a company vehicle to perform service work within an assigned territory
- Collaborate with team members or work independently to complete service tasks within scheduled timeframes
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards

- Accurate and efficient diagnosis of system issues
- Completion of preventative maintenance schedules
- High-quality repairs with minimal callbacks
- Strong customer satisfaction and service documentation accuracy
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience servicing commercial HVAC/R equipment
- EPA Universal Certification required
- NATE Certification preferred
- Experience with RTUs, split systems, air handlers, chilled water, or boiler systems preferred
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical diagnostics
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment layouts
Additional Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical service work (standing, bending, squatting)
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, MVR review, and physical ability test
- Ability to travel as needed for projects
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently
