Overview

A well-established mechanical contractor is seeking a Senior Mechanical Construction Leader to help drive project delivery and operational performance for its Columbus, Ohio operations.

This position is ideal for a Senior Project Manager or Project Executive ready to take on broader operational responsibility. The role will focus on leading major mechanical construction projects, mentoring project teams, and supporting the continued growth of the Columbus operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead large commercial and industrial HVAC and plumbing construction projects
• Oversee multiple projects and project teams simultaneously
• Manage project financials including budgets, forecasting, cost control, and profitability
• Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, owners, and industry partners
• Support leadership in strategic planning and operational improvements
• Mentor and develop project managers and project engineers
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, on budget, and with high quality standards

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical construction project management
• Strong experience managing commercial or industrial HVAC/plumbing projects
• Proven ability to manage large-scale or multiple concurrent projects
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience managing project financial performance and forecasting

Preferred Experience

• Design-build mechanical construction projects
• Leadership experience managing PMs or project teams
• Experience working with large commercial, healthcare, or industrial clients
