Commercial HVAC Equipment Installer – Retrofit
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay: $35–$45 per hour (DOE)

Role Overview
The Commercial HVAC Equipment Installer – Retrofit is responsible for the safe, efficient removal and installation of commercial HVAC systems. This role is critical to delivering high-quality retrofit projects while minimizing downtime for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and retrofit RTUs, split systems, VRF systems, chillers, boilers, VAVs, and associated ductwork.
- Remove and replace outdated equipment with minimal disruption to facility operations.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers and field teams to meet schedules and deadlines.
- Perform system testing, start-ups, and quality control inspections.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Maintain a professional, customer-focused presence on job sites.
Success Metrics
- Projects completed on time and within scope.
- Zero safety incidents.
- First-pass inspection approvals.
- Clean, organized job sites and strong client satisfaction.
Who You Are
You’re a dependable, experienced commercial installer who takes pride in precision work. You thrive in fast-paced retrofit environments, understand the importance of safety, and value being part of a high-performing team delivering quality results.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3–5+ years of commercial HVAC installation/retrofit experience.
- Hands-on experience with RTUs, VRF systems, chillers, boilers, and related equipment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration principles.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- EPA Universal Certification (required).
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- OSHA 10/30 certification (preferred).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to kneel, crawl, and work in confined spaces.
