Project Sales Representative – Commercial HVAC & Mechanical Columbus, OH

A growing commercial mechanical contractor is seeking a Project Sales Representative to drive HVAC replacement projects across the region. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on commercial HVAC experience who transitioned into sales, estimating, or project development.

You’ll own the full sales cycle for replacement projects ranging from $20K–$500K, including chillers, boilers, RTUs, and cooling systems. This is consultative selling — evaluating aging equipment, identifying risk, and guiding building owners toward smart, energy-efficient solutions.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct site assessments and identify replacement opportunities
  • Develop estimates, scopes of work, and proposals
  • Present technical solutions clearly to facility managers and owners
  • Manage pipeline activity and forecast revenue
  • Partner with operations for smooth project turnover
  • Build long-term client relationships

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in commercial HVAC sales, estimating, or mechanical business development
  • Strong knowledge of chillers, boilers, RTUs, and commercial HVAC systems
  • Proven ability to develop proposals and close mid-size commercial projects
  • Valid driver’s license

Compensation: DOE $100K Base + Uncapped Commission

Vehicle Allowance: $500/month + $0.28/mile
