Project Sales Representative – Commercial HVAC & Mechanical Columbus, OH
A growing commercial mechanical contractor is seeking a Project Sales Representative to drive HVAC replacement projects across the region. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on commercial HVAC experience who transitioned into sales, estimating, or project development.
You’ll own the full sales cycle for replacement projects ranging from $20K–$500K, including chillers, boilers, RTUs, and cooling systems. This is consultative selling — evaluating aging equipment, identifying risk, and guiding building owners toward smart, energy-efficient solutions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site assessments and identify replacement opportunities
- Develop estimates, scopes of work, and proposals
- Present technical solutions clearly to facility managers and owners
- Manage pipeline activity and forecast revenue
- Partner with operations for smooth project turnover
- Build long-term client relationships
Qualifications
- 3+ years in commercial HVAC sales, estimating, or mechanical business development
- Strong knowledge of chillers, boilers, RTUs, and commercial HVAC systems
- Proven ability to develop proposals and close mid-size commercial projects
- Valid driver’s license
This is a high-impact role with strong earning potential for someone who understands both the technical side and the sales side of commercial HVAC.

Compensation: DOE $100K Base + Uncapped Commission
Vehicle Allowance: $500/month + $0.28/mile
