Senior HVAC Service Technician – Stationary Facility-Based

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior HVAC Service Technician to support a large commercial facility in Greer, SC. This is a stationary, facility-based position, meaning you will work primarily at one location rather than traveling between multiple job sites.

This role is ideal for a seasoned commercial HVAC professional with strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with large-scale systems, including chillers.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair:
  • DX systems (up to 100 tons)
  • Packaged AC units (up to 150 tons)
  • Water source heat pumps
  • Large commercial HVAC systems
• Diagnose and repair:
  • Gas-fired and electric heating systems
  • Pneumatic and electronic controls
  • Air handling equipment
• Perform system startups and operational checks
• Adjust valves, pumps, and controls to maintain peak system efficiency
• Conduct preventative maintenance, including:
  • Coil cleaning
  • Belt replacement
  • Duct inspections
• Evaluate site conditions and escalate complex issues when necessary
• Maintain accurate documentation of service activities
• Communicate daily with dispatch and coordinate work orders

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Trade School certification, or GED
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification (required)
• Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC experience
• Experience working in large commercial or industrial facilities
• Hands-on experience with one or more chiller systems:
  • Air-Cooled
  • Water-Cooled
  • Screw
  • Scroll
  • Centrifugal
  • Absorption
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Willingness to participate in on-call weekend rotation
• Clean, professional appearance and attention to detail
• Commitment to safety standards, including defensive driving
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
