A respected HVAC service organization is seeking a Cost Containment Leader to drive branch-level financial performance, operational efficiency, and cost control. This strategic leadership role partners closely with Branch Leadership to optimize labor utilization, improve gross margins, and ensure disciplined job costing and billing processes.

• Protecting and improving gross margin (GM) performance
• Driving labor forecasting and utilization accuracy
• Ensuring billing accuracy and vendor payment timeliness
• Strengthening cost visibility across service, maintenance, and project work

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee job costing accuracy and conduct open job reviews
• Monitor daily billing accuracy and revenue recognition
• Support branch-level P&L performance and overhead management
• Lead cost forecasting for:
  • Preventative Maintenance agreements
  • Demand service work
  • Service projects
• Manage AR follow-ups on past-due invoices
• Support AP processing and vendor payment tracking
• Maintain vehicle fleet and warehouse inventory reconciliation
• Participate in weekly labor planning and scheduling meetings
• Provide backup scheduling/dispatch support when necessary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC service industry experience
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated experience with:
  • Cost forecasting
  • Job costing
  • Billing oversight
  • Financial reporting
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced service environments
