We are expanding in the Charlottesville market and seeking experienced Commercial Plumber Mechanics to support our continued growth. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial construction projects including new installations, retrofits, system change-outs, and renovations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and repair piping systems for:
  • Domestic water systems
  • Drainage and waste systems
• Cut, thread, and join pipe using:
  • Pipe cutters, threading machines, torches, reciprocating saws, etc.
• Install valves, fittings, and piping systems using metal and non-metal materials
• Join piping using soldering, brazing, grooving, solvent welding, and mechanical fittings
• Read and interpret layouts and project drawings
• Assist with sheet metal and ductwork as needed to support commercial installations
• Ensure compliance with International Plumbing Code (IPC) and safety regulations

Qualifications

• Commercial plumbing experience required
• Journeyman or Master Plumber license (preferred, not required)
• Backflow certification (preferred)
• Medical Gas certification (preferred)
• Trade school completion (preferred)
• Experience with layout and reading construction drawings
• Strong understanding of IPC and OSHA safety standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
