HVAC Team Lead – Commercial Service

📍 Location: Chantilly, VA

💼 Job Type: Full-Time

💲 Starting Pay: $45/hour for ideal candidates + incentives


About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Team Lead to support and supervise our Commercial HVAC Service Team in Chantilly, VA. If you enjoy troubleshooting, working with complex HVAC systems, and mentoring technicians, this leadership role offers the chance to grow your career with a top-tier mechanical contractor.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair complex HVAC systems including:
    • Rooftop Units (RTUs), DX systems, heat pumps
    • Pneumatic and electrical control systems
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily work of assigned HVAC Service Technicians
  • Inspect in-progress and completed work to ensure quality and adherence to standards
  • Mentor team members, providing guidance, training, and coaching to support technician development
  • Support customer relationships by identifying service needs, developing estimates, and ensuring follow-up
  • Help identify opportunities for service growth within the region
  • Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example on job sites

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience with commercial systems
  • Associate degree, HVAC technical certification, or completion of an apprenticeship program (preferred)
  • Proven leadership skills or prior experience leading service teams
  • Knowledge of Building Codes, ASHRAE standards, and OSHA safety regulations
  • Technological proficiency with Microsoft Office and service management tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
