Refrigeration Technician – Commercial HVAC/R

Position Summary:

A leading commercial HVAC/R contractor is seeking skilled and motivated Refrigeration Technicians to join its Richmond-based Building Services team. This role offers steady, year-round work, a chance to develop your career, and exposure to a variety of commercial refrigeration systems in dynamic environments.

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain small to large-scale commercial refrigeration systems, including:
  • Walk-in boxes
  • Reach-in coolers
  • Ice machines
  • Display cases
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components
• Disassemble and reassemble parts, using instruments and tools to identify faults
• Maintain and repair refrigeration controls and associated systems
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure system reliability and efficiency

Qualifications:

• Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration systems
• Familiarity with rack refrigeration systems (preferred but not required)
• EPA Universal Certification (required)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Strong problem-solving and technical skills
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a service team
