Job Description

Mechanical Construction Assistant (Chemical Piping)

This is not a routine mechanical role. You’ll be supporting the construction of a next-generation, high-tech production campus—the largest active construction site in the state of Texas. The project involves complex chemical and mechanical piping systems where precision, documentation, and coordination matter just as much as field execution. If you’re detail-driven and thrive in technically demanding environments, this role puts you at the center of critical work.

Role Overview

The Mechanical Construction Assistant (Chemical Piping) supports field operations through project documentation, site coordination, and construction monitoring. This role bridges engineering, construction, and project management to ensure piping systems are installed in compliance with specifications, schedules, and quality requirements. Flexibility, strong communication, and mechanical fundamentals are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project documentation and support daily site operations
  • Review specifications, shop drawings, and construction documents for compliance
  • Coordinate engineering and field issues to meet owner and project requirements
  • Monitor fabrication and installation progress for assigned piping scope
  • Track schedules, progress metrics, and report status to project management
  • Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, contractors, and internal teams

Qualifications

  • Bilingual English/Korean required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical or chemical piping construction preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs
  • Experience with BIM, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Benefits

  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance (including dependents)
  • Complimentary breakfast and lunch daily; dinner provided during overtime
  • Annual performance-based bonus potential
  • 401(k) participation
  • Mobile phone allowance or company-issued phone
  • PTO plus federal holidays, increasing with tenure
  • Additional leave and employee support programs
