Position Summary:

A leading mechanical service contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join its growing Richmond-area team. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC systems across a range of facilities including office buildings, industrial sites, and healthcare environments. Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including:
  • Rooftop Units (RTUs)
  • Split systems
  • Boilers
  • Associated mechanical and electrical equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure efficiency and reduce downtime
• Identify repair needs and communicate clearly with customers and supervisors
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
• Maintain job site cleanliness and safety compliance
• Complete accurate service documentation and reports
• Deliver excellent customer service in occupied, commercial environments

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical HVAC systems
• EPA 608 Universal Certification (required)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with:
  • Boilers and chillers
  • Building automation systems (BAS)
  • Industrial HVAC equipment
• Strong customer service skills and professionalism

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable climbing ladders, working at heights, and accessing rooftops
• Capable of working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
