Low Voltage Superintendent

Position Summary

Our client is looking for an experienced Low Voltage Superintendent to lead field teams on complex, mission-critical data center and low-voltage projects across the U.S. This role carries the torch for safety, quality, and on-time execution. You’ll guide foremen and craft professionals, coordinate with client stakeholders, and ensure every element of installation meets Interstates’ high standards and industry codes.

This is a leadership role with national travel, starting on a large-scale project in Oklahoma. If you thrive in fast-moving environments and love developing people while delivering precision work, this is your next step.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and motivate Foremen, team leaders, and craft professionals

• Conduct foreman meetings and align workflows with project goals

• Coach field teams on technical and leadership development

• Model and uphold the company’s Zero Injury safety culture

Project Execution

• Ensure projects hit scope, schedule, and budget targets

• Create and manage SIS and look-ahead schedules

• Oversee procurement planning, prefabrication, and Agile field workflows

• Manage tooling, inventory, equipment, and material planning

• Lead testing, documentation, and turnover (OTDR/OLTS, copper certification)

Quality & Standards

• Set zero-punch expectations from day one

• Ensure installation quality meets BICSI, TIA/EIA, and manufacturer standards

• Validate rack/cabinet builds, grounding/bonding, labeling, and records

• Maintain compliance with specifications, as-builts, and redline processes

Safety

• Enforce companywide safety expectations

• Lead weekly safety meetings and foster proactive safety engagement

• Ensure compliance with all site-specific safety policies

Communication & Coordination

• Build strong relationships with clients, IT partners, and other trades

• Run effective jobsite meetings and resolve issues quickly

• Coordinate change windows, MOPs, and cutovers with commissioning partners


Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or CM degree preferred

• 5–7 years of leadership experience in low voltage, telecom, or data center environments

Required Certifications

BICSI Technician

Preferred Certifications

• RCDD, RTPM, FOA CFOT

• Manufacturer certifications (fiber/copper cabling or systems)

• OSHA 30

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong understanding of low voltage systems (security, DAS, fire alarm, cluster fiber)

• Deep knowledge of BICSI, TIA/EIA, and NEC grounding

• Competence reading low voltage drawings, schematics, and rack elevations

• Skilled in scheduling, earned value tracking, and cost code management

• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities


Travel

100% travel nationwide

• First assignment located in Oklahoma

• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required

• Per diem and mileage stipends apply


Schedule & Work Environment

• 40–60 hours/week (no more than 60 for safety)

• Occasional weekends depending on project phase

• Construction environment: ladders, confined spaces, elevated areas, up to 50 lb lifting

• PPE provided; safety protocols required
