Position Summary:

Our client is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their Houston-based team. This is an exciting, high-impact opportunity for an experienced civil estimator ready to take on a leadership track.

You’ll play a critical role in preconstruction, leading estimating efforts across civil, earthwork, concrete, and structural scopes, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and project teams to deliver accurate, timely, and competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, concrete, structural, and select mechanical (HVAC) scopes.
• Conduct quantity take-offs, analyze drawings/specs, and develop project budgets.
• Collaborate with operations and field teams to ensure alignment between design intent and cost assumptions.
• Manage subcontractor outreach, pricing comparisons, and bid evaluations.
• Implement and improve estimating processes, systems, and technology tools.
• Support business development efforts through conceptual estimating and client-facing proposal support.
• Serve as a mentor to junior estimators, preparing to take on departmental leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of progressive estimating experience in civil, concrete, or industrial construction.
• Proven background in earthwork and concrete estimating (structural and site work).
• Experience with take-off software and digital estimating tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Leadership potential and drive to grow into an Estimating Manager role.
