You’re a Kodiak employee. We assign you to work with leading general contractors and subcontractors who rely on Kodiak for contingent labor. You’re on our payroll, covered by our benefits (where applicable), and supported by our team throughout each assignment.

Yes. We have opportunities for both local hires and travel-dedicated professionals. Many of our traveling craftsmen receive per diem and mileage, depending on the project.

Project lengths vary. Some may last a few weeks, others several months or longer. Our goal is to keep you working consistently, and many of our professionals roll from one Kodiak project to the next without a break.

You’ll be mobilized to job sites managed by respected GCs and specialty subcontractors—companies that build some of the most advanced and demanding projects in the country. We only partner with firms who have a focus on safety, respect the trades and run professional jobsites.

• You must have verifiable trade experience
• Reliable transportation and willingness to show up ready to work
• Most jobs require OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification (we can help you get it)
• You must wear appropriate PPE on all projects assigned to
• Drug-free and safety-conscious
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Willingness to consent to a drug screen and background check, in accordance with applicable state and local laws.

Yes. All craft professionals complete a Kodiak safety orientation, and we verify OSHA credentials. Some clients also require additional site-specific training, which we coordinate and cover.  We also pay for our employees to secure their OSHA-10 certification if they need it.

We ask that you stay in close touch with your Kodiak recruiter, preferably letting us know when your project is coming to an end (sometimes you’ll learn this before our service representatives do). This way, when your current assignment wraps up, our team will work to line up your next project, so you don’t experience a paycheck gap. Our most dedicated craftworkers move from one job to the next with no downtime.
