We’re seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support accurate, timely payroll for hourly and salaried employees with an established electrical contractor.

If you bring strong payroll experience, Excel skills, and the ability to keep payroll running smoothly in a fast-paced construction environment, we’d like to connect.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and review payroll, including timekeeping, job assignments, multiple pay rates, overtime, per diem, bonuses, and deductions.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and field leadership to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate job costing.
• Process employee changes, garnishments, payroll corrections, and off-cycle payments.
• Support payroll tax compliance, audits, reconciliations, reporting, and year-end activities.
• Answer employee payroll questions professionally and confidentially.
• Help improve payroll procedures, documentation, and internal controls.

What we’re looking for:

• 2–4 years of payroll processing experience preferred.
• Construction payroll experience supporting an hourly, field-based workforce strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with COINS and familiarity with Workday.
• Strong Excel, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
• Working knowledge of overtime, payroll taxes, deductions, garnishments, and wage-and-hour requirements.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to meet recurring deadlines.

Additional experience that stands out: Multi-state payroll, certified payroll reporting, prevailing wage/Davis-Bacon, and per diem administration.
