Senior Virtual Designer (VD3)

We Are Recruiting for a Senior Virtual Designer (VD3) | Austin / Leander, TX

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Virtual Designer (VD3) to join a growing electrical construction VDC/BIM team. This is a hybrid position – 3 days in the office and 2 days remote – supporting complex commercial, industrial, institutional, and large-scale electrical projects.

What You'll Do:

• Build detailed 3D electrical models using Revit and Navisworks
• Produce electrical shop drawings from field layouts
• Lead BIM coordination, clash detection, and resolution
• Manage models through GC coordination and final sign-off
• Coordinate with field teams, GCs, and MEP trade partners
• Mentor Virtual Designers and BIM Detailers
• Support VDC leadership with project budgets and deliverables
• Produce bills of materials for procurement and labor tracking
• Support Revit templates, details, and graphic standards
• Collaborate with engineering teams on design-build projects

What We're Looking For:

• 8+ years of CAD/BIM experience in commercial electrical construction
• Advanced Autodesk Revit skills
• Experience with Navisworks and/or Revizto
• Electrical field experience and/or electrical theory background
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and constructability
• Experience mentoring designers or detailers
• Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
