Pay & Project Details
- $32.00 per hour
- $115/day per diem
- Per diem paid 7 days per week when all scheduled hours are worked
- 60 hours per week
- Approximately 6-month project
- ASAP start
- Location: Pecos, TX
Responsibilities / Competencies
- Build, install, align, brace, and strip concrete forms for foundations, walls, slabs, columns, and other concrete structures.
- Inspect work areas and take measurements to properly lay out formwork.
- Read and work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install lumber, plywood, and other formwork materials.
- Set forms to the proper line, grade, elevation, and dimensions.
- Assist with concrete placement, pouring, and finishing activities as required.
- Assist with rebar installation and placement as needed.
- Determine the appropriate methods, materials, and equipment needed to complete assigned work.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, and other carpentry equipment.
- Inspect and maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
- Follow all company, site-specific, and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
- Perform housekeeping and work-area cleanup to maintain a safe and organized jobsite.
- Work safely around active construction operations, equipment, and personnel.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous form carpentry / concrete formwork experience required.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform accurate layout.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of concrete forming methods and construction practices.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools associated with form carpentry.
- Must be able to work 60 hours per week for the duration of the project.
- Must follow all jobsite safety requirements and procedures.
- Must be dependable and able to report to work as scheduled.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding construction work, including lifting, climbing, bending, and working on your feet for extended periods.
