Senior HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician – Commercial Systems

💲 Pay Range: $30.00-$45.00+ per hour (Based on Experience)

About the Role:

We’re seeking a highly experienced Senior Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team and support commercial and light industrial clients across the Raleigh area. This is a field-based role with a strong focus on diagnostics, repair, and preventative maintenance of large-scale HVAC equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including:

• DX systems (up to 100 tons)

• Packaged AC units (up to 150 tons)

• Water source heat pumps

• Gas-fired and electric heating systems

• Pneumatic, electronic, and DDC control systems

• Air handlers and VAV systems.

• Perform startup and commissioning services for new commercial installations.
• Adjust valves, controls, and pumps to ensure proper operation of fluid, pressure, and temperature systems.
• Complete preventative maintenance, including coil cleaning, belt replacements, and duct inspections.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues, escalating when necessary.
• Maintain daily communication with dispatchers and provide timely status updates.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or HVAC Trade School certification
• Universal EPA Certification (Type I or Universal) required
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on commercial HVAC experience
• Reliable attendance and ability to work flexible shifts, including on-call rotations
• Professional demeanor with a clean appearance and well-maintained tools
• Must pass a background check, drug screen, and have a valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to follow safety protocols
