Electrical Field Engineer II


Lubbock, TX

$40–$60/hr DOE

Per Diem: $150/day Available

Schedule: 13 Days On / 1 Day Off | 6 x 12-Hour Days

Are you an experienced electrical professional who enjoys solving field challenges, coordinating engineering deliverables, and supporting project execution?

We are seeking an Electrical Field Engineer II to support a major Data Center construction project in Lubbock, Texas. This role serves as a critical link between engineering, construction, project management, and field operations to ensure successful project execution from installation through commissioning and turnover.


Key Responsibilities

Review IFC drawings, specifications, and construction documents

Support field execution by resolving design and installation conflicts

Develop field sketches and coordinate engineering updates

Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, and technical documentation

Maintain and track as-built drawings and turnover packages

Support work package development and field planning activities

Coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, and subcontractors

Track quantities, field progress, and project milestones

Assist with inspections, commissioning, and startup activities

Support change order development and project reporting


Qualifications

5+ years of electrical construction experience

Experience supporting Data Center, Industrial, Power Generation, Substation, or Oil & Gas projects

Strong understanding of electrical installation practices and field execution

Experience managing RFIs, submittals, work packages, and turnover documentation

Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents

Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Experience using Bluebeam

Preferred Qualifications

Data Center construction experience

BIM and/or Procore experience

Electrical Engineering degree

E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) project experience
