Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC/R systems, including:
    • Rooftop units (RTUs)
    • Boilers and chillers
    • CRAC units and refrigeration systems
    • VAV/VVT and control systems
    • Kitchen refrigeration and hot-side equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections
  • Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
  • Work independently in the field with minimal supervision
  • Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch, and internal teams
  • Provide occasional mentorship and guidance to junior technicians

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Experience with:
    • RTUs, mini splits, chillers, boilers
    • Controls and building systems
    • Refrigeration and kitchen equipment
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification (required)
  • NATE Certification (preferred)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and varying weather conditions
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and kneeling

Work Environment

  • Commercial job sites and mechanical rooms
  • Exposure to high-voltage systems and moving equipment
  • Work in loud environments and extreme temperatures

Additional Details

  • Full-time role (40+ hours/week guaranteed)
  • Limited overnight travel
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required
