HVAC Service Technician
Location: Columbia, SC
Pay Range: $25.00–$32.00/hour (DOE)

Role Overview
The HVAC Service Technician maintains, diagnoses, and repairs commercial HVAC systems across client sites, combining technical expertise with strong customer communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Review work orders and coordinate daily with dispatch.
- Travel to client sites to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on RTUs, chillers, boilers, and split systems.
- Diagnose issues using diagnostic tools and repair or replace components.
- Service large-scale systems (DX up to 25 tons, water-cooled units, heat pumps).
- Conduct maintenance tasks (cleaning coils, replacing belts, system start-ups).
- Communicate system status and recommendations to clients.
- Accurately document work, parts, and performance in CMMS.
Success Metrics
- High first-time fix rate and reduced callbacks.
- Strong system uptime and PM completion rates.
- Positive customer satisfaction and retention.
- Accurate, timely documentation.
- Compliance with safety and EPA standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (Trade School preferred).
- 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
- EPA Universal Certification.
- Experience with large systems and controls (DDC, pneumatic, electronic) preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with clean record.
- Ability to work independently and participate in on-call rotation.
