Pay Range: $30.00-$45.00 (DOE)

About the Role:

Are you an experienced Industrial Refrigeration (IR) Technician looking for variety, travel opportunities, and career growth? We’re hiring a Service Technician to support our industrial refrigeration customers throughout the Harrisonburg, VA area. Candidates from outside the area are encouraged to apply—relocation support is available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair ammonia and industrial refrigeration systems
• Perform mechanical rebuilds on commercial/industrial compressors
• Maintain evaporative condensers, control systems, and electrical components
• Execute preventative maintenance and inspection tasks per service agreements
• Coordinate with dispatch/service coordinator for job scheduling and task execution
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, IIAR, and RETA safety standards
• Travel up to 50% of the time to customer sites
• Respond to emergency service calls, including weekends and evenings as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in industrial refrigeration service
• Strong understanding of ammonia, cascade, and rack systems
• Hands-on experience with control systems and conventional electrical controls
• EPA CFC certification required
• RETA Course I and II certifications preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA, IIAR, and industry safety standards
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and OT as needed
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
