Deburrer

Job Summary

The Deburrer is responsible for removing sharp edges, creating uniform finishes on coated parts, stamping part numbers, and preparing parts for coatings and inspection.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Ensure the correct part number is stamped on parts.
• Identify parts and match them to corresponding prints.
• Deburr machined parts to remove sharp edges or burrs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Occasional Job Responsibilities

• Empty chip hoppers.
• Operate cut-off saw.
• Perform basic inspection tasks.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings preferred.

Physical Requirements

Protective Clothing Required

Employees must use safety glasses and safety shoes when working in production areas.

Physical Demands

• Occasionally: Sit, talk, listen, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and move throughout the work area; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly: Walk and use foot/feet to operate machinery; lift up to 25 lbs (e.g., moving parts in and out of the work area).
• Frequently: Stand and use hands to handle or touch materials.
• Vision Requirements: Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Tools & Equipment Utilized

Files, Dyna files, air drills, hammer, tumbler.

Work Environment

• Factory environment with regular exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Noise levels are loud.
