Title: Electrical Assembler I
Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI
Pay: $22–$26/hour
Openings: 3
Shift: 1st Shift | 6:00am–2:30pm
Status: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Electrical Assembler I
Job Summary
The Electrical Assembler I is responsible for assisting in wiring and assembly operations on a variety of electrical sub-assemblies and control panels.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Read and follow entry-level blueprints, shop orders, specifications, and other instructions to accurately build and assemble parts and equipment.
- Lay out pushbutton stations, assemble, and wire.
- Lay out panels, drill and tap, and assemble components.
- Lay out and assemble control panels.
- Perform basic motor wiring.
- Assemble and wire electrical components.
- Operate material-handling equipment.
- Travel to client locations for on-site electrical equipment assembly (company-paid travel).
- Utilize overhead cranes and proper rigging procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Occasional Job Responsibilities
- Locate and stock parts, deburr, and maintain workspace cleanliness.
- Participate in department clean-up and improvement projects.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and perform metric conversions.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to drive a forklift preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to navigate CAD documents preferred.
- Ability to multi-task effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Ability to collaborate with others (including in person) to proactively develop solutions.
- Familiarity with ERP systems preferred.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally preferred.
Physical Requirements
Protective Clothing Required
Employees must use all required PPE—including safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection—while performing job duties.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally: Walk, sit, talk, listen, use foot/feet to operate machines, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach above shoulders; lift up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly: Stand and move from place to place; lift up to 25 lbs (e.g., lifting sub-assemblies and mounting panels).
- Frequently: Use hands to finger, handle, or touch components.
- Vision Requirements: Close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Tools & Equipment Utilized
Hand tools, electrically powered tools, electrical testing equipment, electrical terminating equipment, tap & die equipment, ladders, and pneumatic tools.
Work Environment
- Production environment with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, heights, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock.
- Noise level is loud and may become very loud; hearing protection required.
