💰 $40 – $50 per hour (based on experience)

About the Role

Kodiak is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our growing team in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on experience servicing and maintaining commercial refrigeration systems — including -30°F freezers, walk-in coolers, and reach-in units. You’ll work independently and as part of a skilled service team to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operation of refrigeration systems for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems and components
• Perform diagnostics on compressors, evaporators, condensers, and defrost systems
• Conduct routine maintenance and preventative checks
• Maintain accurate service records and work orders
• Ensure all work meets local, state, and federal safety standards
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of refrigeration service experience
• Experience with ultra-low temperature systems (down to -30°F)
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• EPA Section 608 certification (Type I & II or Universal) preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
