Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Plumbing Estimator to join their team. In this full-time role, you’ll play a vital role in our preconstruction efforts by developing accurate, detailed, and competitive estimates for plumbing systems in commercial and industrial projects. This position offers high visibility within the organization, collaboration with project teams, and opportunities for long-term career growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, specifications, proposals, and project documents to prepare detailed plumbing estimates.
• Develop quantity takeoffs and budgets using estimating software.
• Utilize MS Office tools—especially Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint—to support daily estimating tasks and reporting.
• Apply a thorough knowledge of plumbing systems, including:
  • Local and national codes and standards related to plumbing and piping systems.
• Prepare square-foot pricing and complete project budgets for plumbing scopes.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to solicit and evaluate pricing.
• Assist with proposal preparation, submittals, and client communications during preconstruction.
• Maintain organized documentation, cost databases, and project files.
• Interpret and work from contract documents and front-end project requirements to ensure estimating accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial or industrial plumbing systems or related mechanical trades.
• Strong understanding of plumbing design, materials, and construction practices.
• Familiarity with mechanical or piping systems a plus, but primary focus on plumbing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and estimating software.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
