Senior Project Manager – Commercial Electrical Construction
Location: Boca Raton, FL
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee multiple large-scale commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. This individual will provide strategic direction, ensure operational excellence, and drive successful project execution from preconstruction through commissioning. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in electrical and MEP construction, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage project teams while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive-level management for commercial and industrial construction projects, including electrical, mechanical, and general scopes.
- Direct preconstruction planning, scheduling, forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Review contracts, design documents, and specifications; prepare RFIs and coordinate change management processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop project management teams, field staff, and subcontractors.
- Ensure project delivery meets financial objectives, quality standards, and client expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and key stakeholders.
- Enforce company safety policies and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Oversee reporting on project performance, risk management, and cost control initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the commercial electrical construction industry, including at least 5 years in project or operations management.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Proven success leading multiple large-scale projects with complex electrical and MEP systems.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
- Deep understanding of contracting principles, project delivery methods, and construction best practices.
Physical Demands
Ability to perform on-site inspections, climb ladders or scaffolds, and lift up to 50 pounds when required. Must be capable of performing physical activities related to project oversight and maintain normal hearing and vision (with or without correction).
Work Environment
Project site and office-based role with exposure to active construction environments, including noise, debris, and variable weather conditions. Must remain vigilant regarding safety and site protocols.
